Photography: Form in Frame

“What I create are worlds that become visible only through photography. The aim is not to create an object and then photograph it, but to build a world out of paper that reveals itself only through the lens. This new world uncovers another dimension of reality, presented in a clear structure.

The choice to make something three-dimensional and then photograph it allows me to direct the viewer's gaze and focus on specific elements in the work. My standpoint and perspective define the frame. The empty spaces between the objects are filled with the camera's gaze.

Photography allows me to control the interaction of light, shadow, and space. The lighting brings the shapes to life. By directing the light, I can emphasize certain elements while letting others disappear into the shadows. This way of working creates layering in the image, where the composition and the play of light enhance the meaning and essence of the objects.

In this way, I invite the viewer to experience the world anew through a different lens, where recognition and discovery go hand in hand, and reality appears in a new light."

The work is reminiscent of staged photography. However, this artist not only stages but also manipulates the shots, creating subtle frictions with reality.
