Setup I – The Undulating Column
The installation does not present stable architecture, but a form that responds. Support does not originate in the foundation, but in the capacity to adapt.

A column stands on a foundation of displaced tiles. Movement in the ground has unsettled the base. The column bends and reorients itself, restoring a vertical direction so that the capital becomes horizontal again.
The curvature remains visible as a trace of this displacement. The column functions as a body adapting to changing conditions. Balance is not given, but emerges.
Opstelling I – The Undulating Column
De opstelling toont geen stabiele architectuur, maar een vorm die reageert. Ondersteuning ontstaat niet uit het fundament, maar uit het vermogen tot aanpassing.

Een zuil staat op een fundament van verschoven tegels. Door beweging in de ondergrond is de basis uit evenwicht geraakt. De zuil buigt mee en hervindt een verticale richting, waardoor het kapiteel opnieuw horizontaal komt te liggen.
De kromming blijft zichtbaar als spoor van deze verschuiving. De zuil functioneert als een lichaam dat zich aanpast aan veranderende omstandigheden. Balans wordt hier niet gegeven, maar ontstaat.
